The Snow and Ice Show is a comprehensive conference that fills a void in the snow and ice management market for ASCA in-classroom certification; industry-specific, high-quality educational programming; and elite peer-to-peer networking opportunities. The event unites manufacturers, suppliers and snow and ice management professionals for 2½ days of education, networking and tradeshow.

Last year's Snow and Ice Show took place in Indianapolis, Ind., and moving it to the East Coast accomplishes a number of goals, says Kevin Gilbride, the association's executive director. Foremost is making it more accessable to the snow removal community.

"Indianapolis was a great venue, and we considered returning in 2018," Gilbride says. "But from our post-show feedback survey there was a strong sentiment that attendees would like to see the show somewhere on the East Coast.

"And that is understandable," he says. "Many East Coast cities have various ways to get in and out conveniently. Hartford also provides a great venue, as well as a great background for the Snow and Ice Show."

The programming is focused on the modern principles of successful snow and ice management – managing risk, reducing insurance rates, and reducing bogus slip-and-fall claims. The 2018 Snow and Ice Show is geared towards industry leaders, as well as those who wish to become industry change agents, for peer-to-peer discussions on real-world business issues.

Additional announcements regrading speakers, educational format and the trade show will happen in the coming weeks.
